Primark have been killing it with the beauty launches recently, it’s safe to say you’re going to see alot from their new ranges on the blog over the coming months, and today is no exception because I’m back with a beauty bang , with this Primark Pure Glow Palette review!
So unless you’ve been hiding you will have no doubt seen the hype all over the beauty blogging world for the new Primark Minerals range. The range contains a lovely mix of eyeshadow and highlighting palettes that some bloggers are calling dupes for well known brands, but at a fraction of the cost.
I had not set out to buy anything from the range, because I really have been trying to curb my makeup spending habits, but when I saw this palette I really could not resist!
As you can see the packaging is lovely, it really stands out from some of the other Primark beauty launches because it seems like they really have tried to make this look and feel high end. I love the marble effect and the shiny bronze which contrast beautifully.
Inside the palette, you get 4 quite large pans of highlighter, each a different shade. They are perfect for me because I have quite a light skin tone, but I think they would work well on most people. They are quite soft, but that does not take away from how pigmented these highlighters are!
Happy Friday! and thank god it’s here! I have plans this weekend so I’m looking forward to getting dressed up and seeing my friends! Today i’m bringing you the next instalment in the party perfect series with this post, plus size party outfit ideas! With so much to choose from on the high street now, I have chosen three outfits which I think you are going to love!
Bodysuit – Boohoo Plus £12.oo, Skirt – New Look Curves £22.99, Black Velvet Clutch – New Look £17.99, Shoes – Simply Be £30.00
Everyone knows the little black dress is the party staple for every woman, we all have that go to black dress that we wear all the time, but what if you were to switch things up a bit! This outfit takes the timeless little black dress and turns it into a completely new concept! Even though everything is still black, I love the combo of this Boohoo Plus bodysuit and New Look Curves tu-tu skirt. The style of the bodysuit means there is no need for a necklace and you could add a pop of christmas colour with a blazer jacket!
A bit of a lighthearted post today. I bloody love Primark. Not always amazing for us plus size babes, but I still adore it, so here are ten thoughts that go through my mind while in Primark!
1. Am I in Primark again, really? My office is a five minute walk from the Leeds Trinity Store, so I am in there alot just browsing and 9 times out of 10 I buy something!
2. OooOOoo New Lines, New Lines! There is always something new to look at, I walk around thinking about what I would wear things with and how much everything would look amazing in my wardrobe!
If you know me, or regularly read my blog, you know that I love finding great bargain Make Up products, so when I saw the Primark PS Velvet Matte Lipstick Crayon, I had to give them a try at £2 a go!
For a long time, I avoided the Primark beauty section. It never really had anything to offer – mostly items you would give to your kid sister for Christmas so that she could pretend to be a princess – not anymore!! I know alot of bloggers and vloggers have been raving about this new range which is constantly expanding!
Hello everyone! Hope you’re all having a good Monday! If you’re like me it means you’re back at work but I thought i’d show you my latest outfit featuring New Look Curves! I’m super impressed with myself lately because I’m trying out more and more casual looks and styles. I’m beginning to feel alot more comfortable dressing down so I wanted to share this outfit with you!
I adore the New Look Curves range, its quickly becoming my favourite high street Plus Size range, there really is something for every style and occassion!
My last fashion post was all about bodysuits and this one was featured! It’s fab and is a great addition to any outfit! I got this in the sale around a week ago.
I chose to wear it with my New Look Curves Denim skirt, which I’ve had a while. I love this skirt because it just goes with everything!
Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Today’s post is all about the beauty tools available in the Primark PS Beauty range!
I’ve never purchased anything like this from Primark, instead favoring my Real Techniques Sponges and Brushes, but times are hard and it can be a little expensive when you need a new blender at least every month! I recently lost my favorite eyebrow brush so while I was in Primark I thought why not give these a try!
PS PRO Double Ended Round Blender – £2.00
PS PRO Mini Blender x4 – £2.50
PS PRO Flat Edge Blender – £2
I have tried alot of blenders! I was extremely dissapointed with the Beauty Blender original, I thought it was way too spongy and I did not get the flawless coverage that I wanted. It also split after it’s first wash and at £16 I expected alot more! The Make Up Revolution blender I bought was ok but very hard and compressed in comparison to the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge that has become the one I use day to day.
All of the Blenders pictured are latex free and are firm but not too firm that they are hard to work with. You can dampen them well and they double in size once they are wet. They are very easy to clean (as i’m anal and do it after each use) and the colours do not run at all – unlike my Beauty Blender did!!
Mini Blender – I have always liked the idea of the micro blender for concealer as I sometimes struggle to blend with my usual sponge as well as I would like. These are awesome for getting into all the little creases around your nose and eyes as well as for patting your under-eye concealer, leaving it looking flawless!
Flat Edge Blender –The flat edge blender I use now to apply my foundation with. Its exactly the same shape and definitely rivals the Miracle Complexion Sponge but it’s a third of the price! I feel like my liquid foundation is applied evenly and it creates a smooth and flawless finish!
I am yet to use the double ended round blender, as I haven’t done a full cream contour and highlight, but if it’s as good as the others I know I will be impressed!
Hello everyone, I know I haven’t posted for a few days, I got incredibly sun burnt on Saturday which meant I felt ill all day Sunday and I just did not feel like sitting at the computer, but here I am for another Outfit August post.
Today was the last day of my holiday from work, so I decided to head into leeds for a few bits for my little one, she needed some clothes because I seem to seriously underestimate how fast they grow! It was a grey and rainy day so I wanted to bring some vibrancy to it with my outfit! It did brighten up later on and I was able to go outside and snap some photos.
I wore a really cute grey Pussy Bow blouse from TU at Sainsbury’s. It’s quite old, I bought it for a Job interview last year, but I love it. You can’t really see the pattern from the photos, but it has little white flowers on! I chose to wear this wine coloured skater skirt, to add a pop of colour!
The skirt is alot brighter in person, for some reason the photos haven’t quite captured it right, plus its a lot redder and I think these photos make it look purple! I do wear this skirt quite a bit. I wear it out but it’s easily dressed down for a day look, the material is so light and floaty. I got it in Primark a few months ago, I think I spotted them in the sale today and they come in a big range of colours.
My shoes I have featured a lot, they are from ASOS, I believe you can’t go wrong with a good patent shoe!
I would love it if you would check out all the other lovely ladies taking part in Outfit August below 🙂

Hello everyone, I hope you’re enjoying your start to the weekend!
I have had such a nice week off work, so today we just relaxed and because it was such a nice afternoon we went for a walk in the woods!
I wore this delightful denim dress from Simply be, I have had it a while but it is perfect on a sunny day. I wore it with my Primark Gladiator sandals, which I have had for a couple of years now. I very rarely have my legs out, but it was a must on this gorgeous day!
So firstly, apologies for my late update on this, it’s been pretty hectic since we got back. I was straight back to work when we got home and I literally havent had two minutes to sit and blog. To be completely honest I haven’t felt like it for a while. But i’m back now and i’m bringing you the results of a little challenge I set myself about a month ago when James and I went to Dublin, you can read about that here.
Anyway I failed! I did not wear everything In my luggage, but I was pretty damn close. there were only three items I didn’t actually get around to wearing, which is pretty good for me (normally there is sooooo much more!!)
I learnt that it is good to limit yourself and that I don’t need to take my whole wardrobe with me. I learnt how to pack things that coordinate well together and could be worn for a few different looks as opposed to planning separate outfits containing mountains of clothes. One thing that worked well was not taking any toiletries, I think this gave me peace of mind that I had enough clothes just in case I had one of those days!
The weather was amazing in Dublin, so that was the main reason I didn’t wear all of the things I took. One of those being a long sleeved dress, which I would have been way too hot in!
Here is a small selection of my favourite outfits from the weekend!
So, like more than 99.9% of the female species – I spend alot of time fretting about what to wear on a night out. I literally have mountains of clothes – but as ever – I end up trying on about 6 outfits (much to my Husbands annoyance) before going to my “go to” outfit which lets face it, I already decided that I was wearing the minute plans were finalised. Here is my first plus size outfit!
So saturday night – here is what I decided on, pretty much everything is from Primark, bar my shoes which I think are from Very.
I wore a cream boxy blouse with short sleeves, textured structured skater skirt in dark purple with elastic waistband, a statement necklace and black patent brogue shoes. I think the whole outfit cost about £40 (which makes it even better)
I love this outfit – it makes me feel ultra feminine and confident 🙂
