Outfit feat Boohoo Plus!

Happy Monday Guys, today I thought i’d share a little outfit with you all! I’m excited to show you this outfit, featuring a bodysuit from Boohoo Plus!

A few weeks back, the hubby and I went to see The Stone Roses in Manchester! After booking the tickets last November we were really excited that it was finally here! We went over to Manchester in the afternoon and had something to eat before trying to make our way to the Ethiad Stadium for the gig! We wanted to get there pretty early as The Courteeners were supporting, another one of our favourite bands!

I chose to wear this cute bodysuit from the Boohoo Plus range with a black denim a line skirt from New Look Curves. My black velvet mary janes are also from New Look, though sadly not avaliable in wide fit. I added this black bomber jacket from Primark and the choker from New Look gave my outfit a 90’s edge.

The skirt I bought instore, but the Boohoo plus bodysuit I had to buy on ASOS, as it was not avaliable on their website for some reason!

I love Boohoo Plus, I have a few items from their range, more specifically I am in love with their bodysuits! I just wish they had buttons to make going to the bathroom slightly easier!

It was such an amazing evening, seeing a band that I started listening to when I was about 14!! I loved every minute and I’m sure we will cherish the memories forever!

Pretty Floral Skirt from Yours Clothing!

Morning! Today I thought I would share this pretty floral skirt from Yours Clothing which I picked up recently!

The Plus Size of Life Pretty Floral Skirt from Yours Clothing

I bought this skirt a while back on my first ever trip to Yours! I love the print and it stood out for me straight away. The material is lovely to touch it’s so soft. The skater style is so full, It’s super girly and I always get a lot of compliments when I wear it.

Here i’m wearing it with a long sleeved bodysuit from boohoo, this one is an extremely low cut style and I can’t be that daring so I just have a plain black vest on underneath it to take off the edge! This skirt can really be worn for anything and with anything, it’s so versatile!

I have spotted a few other skirts in Yours that I have my eye on at the moment, I think one in particular may make it onto my list for Santa!

Both items are also currently on sale!

Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Palette

I haven’t had much experience with Makeup Revolution, I have their Iconic 1, 2 and 3 Palettes and their Golden Sugar Blush palette but I didn’t know until very recently they have added so many more products to their line!

As someone who is new to defining my brows and using brow products, I started out using the Sleek Makeup Eyebrow kit- £8.50. It is a great one for beginners and contains a pigmented wax, a setting powder and all the necessary tools for perfect brows every time. It is however starting to run out. On a recent shopping trip, I was thrilled to see that Superdrug had a Makeup Revolution stand and also stocked their sister products (I may have gone slightly crazy and bought lots, meaning a few more reviews coming soon) So instead of making my usual purchase, I bought the Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Palette in Medium to dark -£7.99

To be honest, the price is bloody fantastic for all the products you get, compared to the Sleek Kit, where you get two.

In this kit you get:

  • Mini Tweezers
  • 2  Brow Brushes
  • Eyebrow Pencil
  • Highlighter
  • Eyebrow Arch Enhancing Cream
  • 2 Shades Tinted Brow Wax
  • 4 Shades Blendable Eyebrow Powder

Outfit August! Anniversary

OUTFIT AUGUST 500 WIDEYou may have seen my picture on instagram on Friday, but I thought I would share my outfit on the blog as well:)

IMG_20150814_203034[1]I love this dress, it’s from Simply Be and I got it just before Christmas last year. I love the neckline and the skirt has several layers, making it a full style. It’s so girly and I feel amazing in it! I wore it with a black waterfall blazer, which is from the So Fabulous range at Very, my New look Wide fit sandals and an oversized clutch which is from Primark.

SAM_1120I kept my make up simple, but I wore a classic smoky eye and a beautiful matte lipstick which is called Paper Rose by Collection 2000. You may notice the blue hair grip in my hair, I wore these on my wedding day as my something blue and I still have all of them, I thought I would wear one for our anniversary night out as well 🙂

I would love it if you would check out all the other lovely ladies taking part in Outfit August below 🙂 you can also check out #outfitaugust2015 on instagram for lots of outfits not being shared on people’s blogs!

Beauty Wishlist!

Morning Lovelies! Today I have a little Wishlist to share with you, it’s all the beauty essentials I am lusting after right now!

1. Beauty Blender Original £16.00

These little egg shaped sponges are supposed to be AMAZING! They are made from a unique material that means your make up won’t soak up your make up during application. 360 degrees of edgeless sponge wonder provides flawless application preventing lines and streaks. You can use it for all types of make up, wet or dry and there are several different sponges for different jobs, I’m dying to try the original one after getting such good results with a £5 dupe by Real Techniques!

2. Mac Please Me Lipstick £15.50

I have wanted this shade of mac for a while, but I find that £15 on one lipstick is wayyyyy too out of my price range. I’ve heard great things about it though! It’s the shade I am lusting after the most, i’m struggling to find one thats even remotely like it from a normal Boots brand.

3. Elegant Touch Nails Totally Bare Stiletto £4.65

I like to have false nails in for when I go out, I have recently stopped having acrylics done so I rely on having sets like these in for emergencies! I love the fact that you can paint them any colour you want, so you can match the shade to your outfit! It gives you a little bit more freedom than having a classic french set!

4. Sleek Make up Dancing Till Dusk Eye and Cheek Palette £9.99

I am a huge fan of Sleek Makeup. I have a few of the eyeshadow palettes and the contouring palette in light is part of my everyday routine. I love the idea of this little palette, blushes and eyeshadows all in one place, which means for me less make up to carry on a night out hoorahhhh!

5. Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Backcomb In A Bottle £4

This little bottle of wonder is a must have if like me you have lifeless flat hair. I have quite thin hair and I find it hard to hold any sort of style. For a night out, I like a bit more volume but it would be nice if my hair hadn’t gone flat about ten minutes after leaving the house. This product also claims to help with texture which is another bonus for me.

6. Flash Jimmy Choo Perfume £46 for 60ml

I’ve blogged about this perfume previously, but it will always be on my beauty wishlist. I wore this the day I got married and all through our honeymoon as well, so not only does it smell gorgeous but it comes with alot of good memories! Try it if you get a chance because it’s soooo nice!

What would be on your wishlist this month? Do you fancy trying any of my picks?

Outfit August! Pop of Colour!

Hello everyone, I know I haven’t posted for a few days, I got incredibly sun burnt on Saturday which meant I felt ill all day Sunday and I just did not feel like sitting at the computer, but here I am for another Outfit August post.

Today was the last day of my holiday from work, so I decided to head into leeds for a few bits for my little one, she needed some clothes because I seem to seriously underestimate how fast they grow!  It was a grey and rainy day so I wanted to bring some vibrancy to it with my outfit! It did brighten up later on and I was able to go outside and snap some photos.

I wore a really cute grey Pussy Bow blouse from TU at Sainsbury’s. It’s quite old, I bought it for a Job interview last year, but I love it. You can’t really see the pattern from the photos, but it has little white flowers on! I chose to wear this wine coloured skater skirt, to add a pop of colour!

The skirt is alot brighter in person, for some reason the photos haven’t quite captured it right, plus its a lot redder and I think these photos make it look purple! I do wear this skirt quite a bit. I wear it out but it’s easily dressed down for a day look, the material is so light and floaty. I got it in Primark a few months ago, I think I spotted them in the sale today and they come in a big range of colours.

My shoes I have featured a lot, they are from ASOS, I believe you can’t go wrong with a good patent shoe!

I would love it if you would check out all the other lovely ladies taking part in Outfit August below 🙂

Outfit August! Delightful Denim

Hello everyone, I hope you’re enjoying your start to the weekend!

I have had such a nice week off work, so today we just relaxed and because it was such a nice afternoon we went for a walk in the woods!

I wore this delightful denim dress from Simply be, I have had it a while but it is perfect on a sunny day. I wore it with my Primark Gladiator sandals, which I have had for a couple of years now. I very rarely have my legs out, but it was a must on this gorgeous day!

Beauty on a Budget – Pound Picks!

If you regularly read my blog, you will no doubt know that I am obsessed with budget beauty buys, showing that you don’t need to spend a fortune to get products that leave you feeling amazing. In this addition to my Beauty on a Budget posts, I share with you my pound picks!

I thought I would set myself a little task. I took out £15, and went to three high street pound shops to see what I could get for my money and I am pretty pleased with myself!

Pound World

Macadamia Oil Extract hair treatment
Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm
Rimmel London Nail Polish in Lemon Drop
Garnier Skin Naturals Pimple Relief Roll on

99p Stores

Garnier Skin Naturals Oil Control Complete
Original Source Coconut Shower Gel
Impulse Tease
Impulse Into Glamour

Pound Land

Herbal Essences Bee Strong Shampoo
Herbal Essences Bee Strong Conditioner
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Fuschia Bling Bling
Sally Hansen Insta Dry in Pronto Purple
Montagne Jeunesse Face Pack x2

In total on all the products I spent £12.96! A quick scout around other stores showed that I could have paid near to £40 for all these products!!  It’s amazing what brands you can find when you have a little snoop in the pound shops. Some lines have been discontinued, but who cares, you may find something you have been missing for a few years. I have even spotted some Calvin Klein make up floating around before. I have to mention again though not all of them stock the same thing, so you may not get exactly what I have but it is definitely worth having a good old snoop!

Some of the things I bought, I have never used before so I am looking forward to trying those out and letting you know how they are.

Do you get any beauty products from the Pound shops? What are your best buys?
