I’ve always been really into my skincare and I have been masking twice a week for at least the past year. I have tried so many different K-Beauty masks and I thought I would share my favourites with you this week and why I like them in case you are looking to try some for yourself. I do use other K-Beauty products in my skincare routine, but to be honest I thought I would just share my favourite masks today because they can be so beneficial to your skincare routine.
I’m going to talk about my favourite K-Beauty masks by brand, because this is the easiest way to tell you what I like. The K-Beauty world is HUGEEEE there are so many different lines within each brand that I am still discovering new things I like all the time. In this post I have included masks that I re-purchase regularly. These masks basically contain some great active ingredients that you might find in serums or essences so I tend to use them after I have cleansed and toned my face and before I use any of my regular serums. I don’t use an exfoliating acid on the day I use my masks.
I get all my masks from Mask House, they are a small shop I think and they do have a physical store in Newcastle. I order mine online and they always arrive quickly and nicely packaged. You can sign up for an account and then get money off as you collect points on your purchases. I also have a referral link** here, which will get you 15% off on purchases over £30 I think, plus I will get 500 points to my account if you do this.
I love these PACKage masks, the designs are so cute and three of my favourites have a cute message on the actual mask. These are the four different ones pictured:
So, unless you’ve been living under a rock, you will have no doubt heard about The Ordinary. A brand under the Deciem umbrella, that has quickly become a cult favourite for it’s amazing active skincare products at very affordable prices.
I’ve been wanting to revamp my skincare routine for a while, but had no idea where to start. I know that I have problematic skin. It’s extremely oily normally, I have redness, hyper pigmentation, blemishes and acne scarring. I have very acne prone skin and find that some of my regular skin care products can make this worse once spots appear. I also do not have much of a budget, so The Ordinary was an extremely affordable option for me.
For someone who is so used to just cleansing, toning and moisturising with products from the drug store, I was well out of my comfort zone when I visited The Ordinary website. Although there is a small guide on there, I decided to research a little bit about the products and found some great advice on a post from Victoria Health amongst others.
One of the main things I was able to get my head around was the difference between AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) and BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids) exfoliants and how these might benefit my skin. The biggest difference is that AHA’s work on the skin’s surface and that BHA’s work on the surface and in the pores.I was able to read the information and choose products which I thought would be best suited to my skin type and would help to improve the things I wanted to target.
I thought I would go through each of the products that I chose and then at the end I will share with you my new skin care routine. I will then update each month with how I think the new routine is going.
Without a doubt, this is my all time favourite time of year. I just love the glitz and glamour of party season and it means I can wear glitter to my hearts content without having to justify myself. In the first post of my Party Season Makeup Tips, I’m going to be helping you to get your glitter on by sharing my favourite products to give you that extra sparkle! All are hopefully budget friendly, like nothing is over £10 so let’s get stuck in!
Collection – Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner
I’ve talked about this product before on the blog, but it is still an essential part of my makeup collection today! I love these Glam Grystals Gel Liner’s becuase they are so versatile and dry nicely without looking crusty on the eye. With them you can add glitter to your look by lining under your eyes or adding a full on cat eye and ditching traditional black liner. You can also use them on your lid for a more dramatic look, like in a cut crease look or just all over. They definitely are alot more subltle and easier to use than some other produtcs on the market. They are so precise so if you’re new to using glitter, then these are definitely for you! These are priced at just £2.99 each at Superdrug
Primark PS – Glitter Obsessed Palette
Ok, so this is definitely another one for you beginners. Beauty bloggers have raved about this and seemingly it is hard to find in Primary stores, but I’ve had mine for quite a while now and have seen it recently in my local store. The palette contains 28 different glitter creme shades that are soooo perfect for adding a bit of glam to any makeup look. There is every colour you could ever need in this palette, from golds and bronzes to blues and purples this palette will take you from party season to festival season so it is definitely worth investing in. I like to pat the creams onto the inner corner of my eye or all over a neutral smoky add to add some drama. Beware though, do not go CRAZY with application, these are creme formulas so if you apply too much it will crease up on the eye! For £4 can you really make an excuse not to try this?

Hi everyone! I hope this post finds you well, my quest to find the perfect affordable foundation continues and on the blog today is a review of the L’oreal Paris Infallible Total Cover Foundation!
Every so often, a new product is released that claims to be the answer to all my foundation nightmares and promises to help me achieve that perfect base on a budget. My foundation needs to be full coverage, it needs to last the day and it needs to be a great price!
This foundation definitely makes some bold claims, mainly that it is a full coverage base that can last up to 24 hours. Not only that, but it claims “The zero compromise, camouflage formula covers everything from blemishes, redness and tattoos without the overload, while the matte finish leaves you with an even, shine-free base. NO COMPROMISE. NO TRANSFER. NO OVERLOAD” I was really keen to give it a go and replaced my usual daily foundation with this as soon as I got my hands on it!
Lately I’ve been getting more and more daring with my makeup looks, stepping away from regular eyeshadow and trying something different. I discovered Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel liner recently and I’ve been using it religiously to add a touch of glam to some of my evening eye looks! Even better is that it is an absolute bargain beauty buy! I thought I would do a small review for you and show you my 3 favourite ways to wear it!
Firstly, glitter for life and not just for Christmas! I love adding it to my makeup looks all year round because I deserve to sparkle and shine! I have the Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in 3 Shades – 01 Glitz, 03 Funk and 09 Retro Chic. I got 2 of them in Boots, but I picked up 09 Retro Chic in Poundland!
These liners are particularly easy to work with, they come with an uber fine applicator and are basically just glitter contained in a super-fast drying clear gel! They are so easy to build up and can be worn alone or over the top of eyeshadow making it super simple to create the look you want! They last forever without needing to touch them up and seriously compliment any eye look you can think of. There is such an awesome range of colours, from classic golds and silvers all the way to daring blues and fuchsias, so there really is something for every occasion. Now onto the looks!
I used 09 Retro Chic for this and I love how it stands out. I kept the lid bare, but you could add some definition to the crease with a medium brown shadow. Finish with lashings of black mascara or even your favourite falsies.
Maybe I’m a little late to the party with this post but If you’re into beauty and watching tutorials you will have seen some version of the oval makeup brushes somewhere. I have seen people rave about them and I have seen others call them a flop! Nevertheless, I was so excited when James bought me a set of them as a Christmas gift and I wanted to review them for you all!
The set James bought for me is by a company called Rio and it’s the Essential Microfibre Cosmetic Brush Collection. The set claims to help you achieve a flawless, airbrushed complexion when applying liquid, powder and cream cosmetics. . In this set there are five brushes all different shapes and sizes, each brush is made up of tens of thousands of soft microfibers, all crafted with a special tapered tip which curve around the contours of the face
Brush 1 – The Oval 8 Brush
This is the largest of the brushes and can be used for several things, including foundation, powder and contouring. I have used this for applying both liquid and powder foundation and the finished look is flawless. I love how easy this was to use to really buff the products into the skin and create a flawless finish. The fibres are so soft and they are really packed tight. I feel like I don’t use nearly as much foundation as I do with a blender now I use this brush and the finish created is so even. I think this is my favourite brush of them all.
I have always loved makeup, it is my favourite thing about my day. I love just getting up and getting my face on, it makes me feel so much more confident and ready for anything. That said, I have had to learn a few things on the way so whether you’re a veteran or just starting to try new things I wanted to share with you five makeup tips that changed my makeup game!
This may seem pretty obvious, but because I have oily skin, I only ever used to moisturise on an evening. I thought that moisturising the skin before applying makeup made the oil I produced throughout the day worse, when in actual fact it does the opposite! Keeping the skin well moisturised with an oil free formula helps to rehydrate the skin and balance the skins natural levels which in time means you may stop producing as much oil. Try something likeClinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel £30 to help control that shine! Wayne Goss also swears by using lashings of moisturiser before foundation for a smooth finish – girls it really works!
