Seventeen Mega Matte Lipstick Review!

I touched on these lipsticks in my Mac Dupes post earlier on this month, so today I’m back with a full review of the Seventeen Mega Matte Lipstick!

I have always loved the Seventeen range at Boots. I normally use the Stay Pout Lipsticks and believe me when I say I have them in alot of shades! So when I heard about these launching at the beginning of August, I couldn’t wait to give them a try.

I’m quite new to matte lips, I find that the liquid ones work best for me. Other matte lipsticks I have tried which were like this left me a bit dissapointed mainly because they weren’t matte enough!

The Seventeen Mega Matte Lipstick comes in an awesome range of 12 colours, but I chose two that I knew I would feel comfortable wearing, The Coral of The Story which is a nice girly pink shade and Nude News which is a sweet pink based nude.

The packaging is lovely and sleek I love how its different in shape from your normal conventional lipsticks and the contrasting of the chrome to the black.

I love this lipstick! Firstly the shape means it’s really easy to apply. Secondly it feels so lightweight, it glides like lip butter on your lips for a really easy application. In terms of application it’s in no way is this like the MAC Mattes which can be a serious struggle to apply!

Wearing these lipsticks is easy, it’s so light on the lips! Unlike some liquid matte lipsticks it does not dry out the lips once applied meaning that your lips stay fairly moisturised – there is no cracking even after a few hours wear which is a major bonus for me.

If you’re going to reapply, try to remove the stuff you have on first otherwise you do end up with a bit of a cakey mess if you put too many layers on throughout the day.

Did I mention these are only £4.49 each! They are only avaliable at Boots, check them out here!

Check out the colour chart below to see the range of colours on offer, for the Seventeen Mega Matte Lipsticks I would say that I’m pleased to see a new range launching that contains some bold colours and not just the boring ones the company think that most people will buy!

Have you tried these? What were your thoughts?
