You may or may not have seen on twitter that I have recently been offered a new Job! It’s safe to say that I am over the moon about it.
But before the Job offer comes the dreaded interview, I am a firm believer that answering the questions is only part of actually succeeding in getting the role and that it important to dress the part as well.
When it comes to choosing an outfit to wear to a job interview, I follow two rules, keep it smart and keep it simple. By this I mean don’t turn up in an extremely casual look, and go for block colours if you can and avoid any outlandish prints. You don’t want what you’re wearing to distract from what you have to say.
I went for classic monochrome, wearing this wrap front blouse by George at Asda with a black tube skirt from Primark. I chose to wear flat shoes from ASOS, but small kitten heels would work here just as well. I chose a simple statement necklace and kept my hair out of my face.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much getting this new job means to me. I’m just so excited because it means that I will be able to share a lot more outfits on the blog because I no longer be restricted to a uniform everyday.
What would you choose to wear to an Interview? Do you think it’s a big part of receiving a Job Offer?
