Anyone who knows me will know that I love a good set of eyelashes. I was thrilled to be contacted and asked if I’d like to review a pair of the Esqido Lashes along with the Lash Companion Eyelash Glue.
Esqido were tired of the unnatural and uncomfortable lashes that were available on the market and decided to set out to create something better. Their lashes have been worn by many a famous names, including Rhianna and upon checking their website to choose my style, I was amazed at their extensive collection of lashes, view them all here.
I chose the style Starlet, which are a medium volume lash with more Volume towards the outer corner. Delivery was fast and I was amazed at the quality of the lashes when they first arrived.
Upon receiving my lashes in the post, I was struck by the packaging in particular. These definitely feel like a little piece of luxury and are definitely a world away from the lashes you buy at the drugstore. The package contained a sleek, white, padded box which housed the lashes making them easy to store for future use.
In terms of styling my hair, I probably use tongs more than anything else. In fact I live for curly hair and my old trusty Babyliss hair tong was coming to the end of its life. Buying a new one just was not an option for me at the moment, plus there are too many out there to choose from so I was really excited to be sent the Xtava Satin Wave 5 in 1 Curling Wand set to review and giveaway one set also to my readers!
I was taken back by how well packaged this was! It felt so luxurious. Inside the box you get the curling tong with 5 different interchangeable wands/barrels, a travel case and a heat resistant glove. All items are in sleek black and my first thought was that this felt so high end and fabulous. My next thought was that itcould be used for SO many different styles! If you’re looking for a professional quality styling set for only £21.99 here (usually £45.99) then this is the one for you!
So, skincare is a really important part of my everyday routine. I have incredibly oily skin and that means that I am prone to acne and black heads. Sometimes, I have to change up my skincare routine in order to prevent breakouts, so I was really happy to be sent the SENSSE Go Mini Sonic Facial Cleansing brush to try! To be honest, I’ve wanted to try an electronic cleansing brush for a while and it came at the perfect time as I was going through a difficult breakout that I could not clear alone!
The Sensse Go Mini Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush retails on Amazon for £39.99, so it is perfect for those of us who are on a budget. When the package arrived, I was blown away, it is packaged so well, it feels sleek and sophisticated and I could not wait to get it open and give it a try!
Inside the box is the cleansing brush, two seperate brush heads, a brush head guard and a USB charger. I was pleasently surprised and it quickly became easy to see why this product is a great choice for so many.
It’s compact, meaning that it’s not only easy to store but easy to take with you anywhere. The brush head cover means that it won’t get dirty between uses or covered in anything else that might be in your luggage whilst you’re away. The USB charging option makes it easy to charge this brush anywhere, even though the generous battery life means it lasts for 180 uses!
Primark have been killing it with the beauty launches recently, it’s safe to say you’re going to see alot from their new ranges on the blog over the coming months, and today is no exception because I’m back with a beauty bang , with this Primark Pure Glow Palette review!
So unless you’ve been hiding you will have no doubt seen the hype all over the beauty blogging world for the new Primark Minerals range. The range contains a lovely mix of eyeshadow and highlighting palettes that some bloggers are calling dupes for well known brands, but at a fraction of the cost.
I had not set out to buy anything from the range, because I really have been trying to curb my makeup spending habits, but when I saw this palette I really could not resist!
As you can see the packaging is lovely, it really stands out from some of the other Primark beauty launches because it seems like they really have tried to make this look and feel high end. I love the marble effect and the shiny bronze which contrast beautifully.
Inside the palette, you get 4 quite large pans of highlighter, each a different shade. They are perfect for me because I have quite a light skin tone, but I think they would work well on most people. They are quite soft, but that does not take away from how pigmented these highlighters are!
Hi everyone! I hope this post finds you well, my quest to find the perfect affordable foundation continues and on the blog today is a review of the L’oreal Paris Infallible Total Cover Foundation!
Every so often, a new product is released that claims to be the answer to all my foundation nightmares and promises to help me achieve that perfect base on a budget. My foundation needs to be full coverage, it needs to last the day and it needs to be a great price!
This foundation definitely makes some bold claims, mainly that it is a full coverage base that can last up to 24 hours. Not only that, but it claims “The zero compromise, camouflage formula covers everything from blemishes, redness and tattoos without the overload, while the matte finish leaves you with an even, shine-free base. NO COMPROMISE. NO TRANSFER. NO OVERLOAD” I was really keen to give it a go and replaced my usual daily foundation with this as soon as I got my hands on it!
You don’t even know how excited I am to be able to share this with you today! It’s the first giveaway I have ever hosted on The Plus Size of Life! So if you fancy winning yourself a pair of Lee Stafford No String Attached Cordless Straighteners, read my review and see how you could win a pair for yourself!
I was absolutely delighted when I received an email asking if I would like to review the Lee Stafford No Strings Attached Cordless Straighteners, I’ve been using the same pair of GHD’s for years now (6 and a half to be exact) so it was definitely time to replace them! I have extremely frizzy hair normally, especially in one particular patch so a good straightener is an essential part of my routine. Not only that, but I am a huge fan of Lee Stafford hair products, in particular the CoCo LoCo range, which I use religiously and have featured on the blog here , so I was intrigued to try one of his electrical products!
Upon receiving my package, I was keen to get them out and have a go! The first thing which caught my eye about these was the colour, pink is my favourite and this shade definitely stands out to say the least. It’s so bright and funky!
So, I’ve raved about the Primark beauty range on the blog before – you can check those posts out by clicking here and here – but I have been loving the false eyelashes that they have on offer lately! I thought I would do a quick post today, a Primark false eyelashes review!
I’m all about budget when it comes to most of my beauty buys and I want to stress that there’s no shame in not wanting to spend a lot on your beauty products. I’ve certainly been made to feel like a cheapskate in the past and I think a lot of people fall into the trap of thinking that if it costs a lot more, it’s a better quality but with products like false eyelashes, that is not the case! Unless you really want a mink lash, then don’t be afraid to try something a little more budget friendly. If you care for your cheap falsies correctly, there is no reason why you can’t use them again and again!
Hello everyone! The blog has been the last thing on my mind lately for several reasons, I won’t go into detail but a lot of bloggers know that if you need time for yourself you’ve got to just take it. Forcing yourself to blog only makes matters worse and turns the hobby into a massive chore (which I definitely don’t want!!!) I’m back today with an I Heart Makeup Chocolate and Peaches Eyeshadow Palette review!
So I Heart Makeup is an offshoot of Makeup Revolution, offering amazing budget makeup for everyone. Everyone knows that the eyeshadow in particular is amazing, they are so pigmented and are really easy to work with. What I love about the I Heart Makeup line is that it’s so fun and girly!
Hi everyone, I’ve had a week off from the blog, mainly because I haven’t been feeling too good. Everything seems to be getting on top of me at the moment but I’m back today sharing my thoughts on foundation with you in this Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation review!
I couldn’t wait to try this foundation. I rarely get excited about a high end product, but this to me was like the answer to all my prayers! This Magic Foundation claims to provide “flawless, poreless, long lasting coverage” which definitely sounded like something I needed to try. On the Charlotte Tilbury website it tells you that it took five years to create this “miracle in a bottle foundation” which contains a supercharged Vitamin C which helps to not only cover all your imperfections, but it helps to reduce these over time with continued use.
The skin on my face is quite problematic I have really oily skin, dark circles around and under the eyes, enlarged pores and some patches of hyperpigmentation so for a foundation it is really important that I get full coverage. One of the selling points of this foundation was that it covers all that on it’s own, meaning there is no need for concealer.
Hi all, I’m still in builder hell at mine, so for now my fashion posts have taken a back seat, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t room for beauty on the blog! Like any self respecting makeup addict, I love a good highlight! This Freedom Makeup Pro Blush and Highlight Palette review features the bronze and baked palette!
Since Freedom Makeup is one of Makeup Revolutions sister brands, I was so eager to get my hands on something when I saw that they sold it in my local Superdrug. I thought I would choose a blush palette, as I love the blush palettes from Makeup Revolution. I myself prefer a brown or light pink toned blusher when applying my makeup rather than something warmer and orangy pink, that is why I chose the bronze and baked palette.
In this palette you get a mixture of highlighter, blusher and bronzer. I’m assuming the lighter shades are highlighters and the darker shades are blushes, with two bronzers placed in the middle.
