If you have read my blog for a while you know that I am not adverse to bargain beauty buys. I have a range of posts on budget beauty including this everyday eyeshadow look and this pound picks post. Recently, I’ve fallen in love with some great products that really don’t cost the earth so thought I would share my bargain beauty buys I use everyday!
It seems like there is a primer for everything these days and when I first bought this I was not expecting much, but I have to say this is honestly one of the best eyeshadow primers I have tried.
It’s a good consistency, not too thick and sticky and applies evenly over or under foundation. As it has a brightening effect, I sometimes do apply this underneath concealer as a base on my lids and don’t apply any eyeshadow and it really helps to brighten the eye area. If I apply shadow once it has set, it really helps to bring out the colour and helps the product blend.
For best results do not set with powder!
PS by Primark My Perfect Colour Mineral Powder £2.00
You know when you use a makeup product and it just makes you go WOW, this is that product. The fact that it is £2 and from Primark makes that even better. It is THE ONLY makeup powder I use now.
What I love most, apart from the price, is that it’s a mineral powder with medium coverage, perfect for me as I tend to get oily throughout the day. I use this for baking, setting and just generally applying alllll overrrr my face! It doesn’t look or feel cakey on the skin. The only thing I would say is use sparingly and if you want to touch up you do not need alot.
This for me is as good as Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, which I used to buy religiously, it;s just in a loose powder form instead.
I always buy 5 or 6 when I’m in Primark as you cannot always get your shade which is annoying, luckily I have a stockpile and will still buy more when I am in Primark as I really do not want to run out.
OK, before you start about the price, let me explain. Yes £8 for an eyeliner might seem alot but £8 for this eyeliner is amazing.
NYX are known for their amazing quality products, at low prices and even though you can get a decent liner for half that, this really is worth it.
It was the first liquid eyeliner I was able to create a straight, even flick on both eyes with. The brush is lovely and thin and I like the long handle. Oh and it is the blackest eyeliner I have ever had!
Did I mention it lasts ages? which makes this a budget buy in my eyes!
Makeup Gallery at Poundland Pout Matters Lip Colour £1
This lip colour is seriously lovely and smells like candyfloss.
It’s a subtle colour which gives a matte finish on the lips which is perfect for everyday wear or for a more natural makeup look.
I haven’t seen any in store the last few times I have nipped in so I hope I can get my hands on some soon! I think they do more than one colour as well.
I’ve blogged about these shadows before in this post and they are still going strong in my makeup collection like 4 years later!
The pigment is good, they last a long time and they are so cheap which makes them perfect for everyday use. This particular palette is a shimmery nude one so perfect for a light coverage on the eye during the day.
There are so many different ones out now, I might have to add to my collection!
I hope you liked these 5 bargain beauty buys. What would be on your list? Is there anything you think I should give a try?
